Annual Meeting, April 9, 1999
"You've Come A Long Way, Librarian"
Room A, Medical Arts Center, Valley Medical Center, 400 South 43rd Street, Renton, WA
It is time again to mark your calendars and plan to attend the 1999 WMLA
Annual Meeting. The WMLA Program Committee has been hard at work planning
what we hope will be a useful and informative program. Our theme this
year, "You've Come a Long Way, Librarian" is meant to help us reflect, as
we draw to the end of the 1900's, on just how far we've come. No matter
what the year 2000 brings, we should feel confident that our abiliy to
adapt will keep us moving forward. This past year has brought an increase
in Web-based products, the merger between OCLC and WLN, Free MEDLINE, a
great increase in teh number of Loansome Doc users and a new term added to
our vocabulary -- Y2K. We look forward to seeing you all on April 8th and
9th.
